timeless classics…

All of these pieces to me are wardrobe staples….timeless….can’t go wrong. I just finished reading a book…the title is so cheesy I can’t even bring myself to say what it was…I just can’t…sorry author of this book but next time do better with the title of your book..ha ha! There were things I agreed with and others things I was like…whatever. One of the things I loved is the author talked about time and how it’s our most valuable asset. Basically know why you do things..have a passionate why and remember time is everything.

Thanks to John Mayer and his Sirius XM channel Life…I just found out Norah Jones is releasing a new album and she has a new song out called Running…it’s great. That means she is most likely going on tour soon….exciting! This would be a good outfit to wear to a Norah Jones concert.

I have to say I love everything I have bought at Doen over the years. I find they are always my go to pieces. I wear the same thing a lot…..and when I find myself doing this it usually is a Doen top, dress….or a concert t-shirt ha ha.

This lipstick is badass….and speaking of badass make sure you’re one. You know I have been seeing some unkindness around the interweb this week. Then I heard someone say people who hate you or are snarky want something you have. This isn’t just limited to a material things…it can be a quality you have that they don’t….. like freedom of mind, humor or knowing what to actually give a fuck about and what not too. Ok just another random thought.

I love this skirt, top, jacket, combo….Also, there are the cutest pants that match the top on the website…they are so good! It’s giving me sound of music curtain vibes in a really good way.

Don’t forget shine like the diamond that you are….don’t let the haters bring you down.

We are snowed in….school is cancelled and I ate cheesecake for breakfast with a Diet Coke. I find myself wondering why I ever moved away from either of the coasts..I suppose we all mistakes. It’s just can we learn from them? (insert crying laughing emoji).

Wearing this sweater top skirt combo is like eating the best comfort food of your life…whatever that is for you this outfit is to me. My comfort food is greek food? You?

Zara has some really great items right now. I love this top it’s THE DEAL OF THE DAY it’s only 20 dollars!  This top, this skirt and I really love these shoes but a lot of the sizes are gone. I also love these shoes and these bright yellow earrings.

I have been listening to the soundtrack from the movie Beaches today. That soundtrack and movie are two of my most favorite things from my childhood, that and New York seltzers.

We Should All Be Feminists

I found this image on pinterest and love love love it.  This is similar We Should All Be Feminist t-shirt.  If you feel strongly that you are NOT a feminist and you don’t know what the fuss is all about you are also welcome here and I have another T-shirt for you that says, “If the love doesn’t feel like 90’s R&B I don’t want it.”  This T-shirt makes me laugh and I think we probably all need one of those these days.  It would be a really fun combo with this ASOS tulle midi prom skirt with tiers. Also, these ASOS leather ankle booties would be a fabulous pairing.  More thoughts and products for your feminist or non-feminist musings below….

“we should all be feminists” could be translated to…women should support women and men should support women. It’s true when women empower each other, incredible things happen. (and when men empower women).  If you really feel strongly that being a feminist is something more than that, that’s ok.  Although I strongly recommend watching the ted talk in which this shirt was based from. We all have different beliefs and backgrounds and that’s what makes us all unique and beautiful. The key here, in my opinion, is to have empathy for one another.  So I say feminist or not…

Let’s empower each other, let’s try to have compassion and empathy for all.  Love.  Let’s choose love no matter what.
