the super bloom xo
It’s a really beautiful time right now in California. Because of all of the rain there are so many blooms and everything is so green. We drove yesterday to Anza-Borrego State Park to see the Super Bloom. The drive was long but peaceful and we got to see a part of the state we haven’t seen. If you live in California, check out the super bloom!
I don’t think you have to drive that far. Even going to Crystal Cove you can see cactuses in bloom and a lot of really pretty wildflowers. On the way home we stopped at this really yummy taco shop called Jilberto’s. Next door they were selling strawberries, avocados, and tomatoes. We saw so many Orange trees. It was fun to explore the countryside of California.
Poor George took off his socks and shoes and stepped on a cactus. Henry wanted to see what it felt like and had all these spurs in his finger. It was really sad, and I thought to myself…why? Why can we not just keep our shoes on and not see how the cactus feels on our fingers? Insert sad face, life with kids is fun and exhausting. At dinner Henry said, “Mom, don’t you want to move back to Utah and live by all your sisters? It would be so fun. You know we could live in a big house and hangout with Crosby.” (one of his cousins he loves) Oh, I love him.
