Nordstrom is having their half yearly sale! I picked a few of my favorite things.

Ahhhh a long weekend, followed by soon to be summer, it’s exciting right? The struggle is real with routine, I can’t wait to be more free with our schedules around here.

I am reading the book Nightingale right now, it’s SO good I can’t put it down and am shirking a good deal of my adult responsibilities. One of my favorite people Dr. Laura Markham said, “Self-discipline is the key to happiness.” Help!  I need to stop reading, it’s a problem!!!  Dishes or read? read. Shower or read? read. Make a healthy meal or read. read (plus eat a row of oreos or ice-cream). Yikes. Help me Dr. Laura Markham!

I hope you have the best long weekend. Memorial weekend reminds me of my Dad and the times we would spend driving around to everyones graves around Salt Lake City in our station wagon. Holding large marigolds in between our legs to put at the gravesides. Peeling our sweaty legs off the vinyl of our family station wagon because my dad rarely used the air conditioner.  I miss my Dad and love my memories with him. He had the best sense of humor, he always made me laugh.
